INDIAN HALF PINTS ~ the Tribe

Posted by: woodbeecarver   in Carving Projects

This is a gallery of six Half Pint Indians, each with individual characteristic that in their appearance and pose tell their own story.

It has been said that a picture is worth a thousand words, so this gallery will simply present in a variety of photographs and lets each picture tell its own story.  Half Pints are carved in the scale of a half inch equals a foot so each three inch tall Half Pint would be the size of an average human.  Carved in the Whittle-Carving style of carving using only knives to shape the wood each Half Pint is slightly larger than the typical miniature carving of no more than two inches. The finish is of one color using Raw Sienna artist oil paint thinned with boiled linseed oil and sealed with Deft lacquer. Listen with your eyes as each photo is studied to hear the story each tells.

The first Indian Half Pint was carved in 2023 and a brief description of the carving process may be viewed by clicking on the link INDIAN HALF PINT.
