THE BORDEAUX STYLE

Posted by: woodbeecarver   in Carving Friends

Troy Bordeaux is a carving friend who has been carving for many years with a personal passion to grow his creative skills through the hobby of woodcarving.

Troy is a Free Will Baptist pastor in Eastern North Carolina who was introduced to woodcarving as a teenage through personal lessons from renowned carver Tom Wolfe.  In the years since he has quietly and systematically been pursuing his own carving journey by honing his skills during relaxing time of exercising his hobby as time would allow within his busy schedule of family and pastoral ministry.  During this pursuit his own signature style of carving has developed within the combination of imagination and carving projects.  Family, local friends and a few carving friends have seen and admired his carving creations over the years and finally Troy expanded that circle by entering some of his carvings in the Charlotte, NC carving show this year.  The two photos above reveal the results of his going public with significant recognition in the ribbons he received in various classes of the Open advanced competition.

Troy and the Wood Bee Carver have been “email friends” for the last several years and the gallery below are of carving photos Troy has shared in our mutual carving friendship.  These photos will further introduce the “signature style” of carving coming from the creative imagination and skill of Troy with clean cut styling and imaginative design.  We look forward to seeing more of the creative art coming from the heart, mind and hands of the BORDEAUX Style.
