The FOUR SEA CAPTAINS are the final results of the previous post entitled “Battle of the Knives.”  The sea captains have received the painting process called “Painting Softly,” as described in earlier postings.

“A picture is worth a thousand words,” as the old saying goes, so this posting will be a visual study of the completed Four Sea Captains.

As Yoga Berra said, “You can observe a lot just by watching,” and the same is true by studying the photographs in this visual study.  Even though the Sea Captains all look the same, yet each have their own personality.  This is a clue that when carving any project, consider carving one or two more to learn how to make each one speak for themselves.

Revisit again the “Battle of the Knives” to see how these Four Sea Captains came into existence as a voyage in learning.
