HALF PINT WHITTLE CARVINGS

HALF PINT WHITTLE CARVINGS are three inch tall figures whittle carved using only knives to shape and detail the carving project.  They are called “Half Pints” because they use the half inch equals a foot scale which is “half” of the inch scale that equals a foot. A six inch tall carved figure would represent a six foot tall figure.

The two wizards, two old men and the two women are three inch tall representative of previously carved figures in the six inch tall medium. The Half Pint version of three inches tall is close to miniature size which allows for the shaping and detailing process to be a smaller interpretation of a larger size that still maintains the features still distinctive while being in a smaller version.  Visual imagination plays a part in the authenticity of the overall design.

The gallery that follows contain five views of each of the individual Half Pints to allow for a closer look to study the detail of each figure.

HALF PINT fills up imagination and imagination carves more HALF PINTS.
