NO MISTAKE

Carved in 1987, this was the first of ten carvings of a sleeping hillbilly with his sleeping dog in which each was carved with the big toes on the inside rather than on the outside where they should be when legs are crossed. A mistake, repeated, but then when caught later it became a learning experience to fulfill the law, “Nothing in life is ever a complete failure for it can always serve as a negative example.”
