WHITTLE FOLK GNOMESGODFREYJASPERCEDRICDUDLEYFRITZWHITTLE FOLK GNOMESAMBROSEBASILARCHIBALDROSCOELAMBERTWHITTLE FOLK GNOMESGUSHOLLISOZZYDOCCLEMWhittle Folk Gnomes are a Southwest Ohio version of the orginial “GNOMES”  from the Old Country of mythical origins.   Whittle Folk Gnomes have been Americanized using the basic genre of Old World Gnomes with a flair of the whimsy.

Like all mythical subjects a lot of imagination is what puts life into each figure.   Whittle Folk Gnomes are carved out of one inch square by three inch tall blocks of basswood carved only with knives.  Each is colored using artist oil paint mixed with boiled linseed oil and finished with one coat of Deft, semi-gloss brushing lacquer.
