This hillbilly caricature received a second place ribbon at the International Carving Congress in late 70’s, which was a big honor to this beginning carver. Like all caricature depictions of a hillbilly he is holding a jug in one hand and his rifle in the other and the barrel of the rifle in poking through his beard.
