Don started carving in 1976 and has shared his enthusiasm for carving through teaching, participating in various shows and as member of several Carving clubs. Don has served several years as president and vice-president of the Brukner Nature Carvers Club in Troy as well as serving in various capacities in the Dayton Carvers Guild.  He has served as chairman of the Dayton Artistry in Wood show for over twenty years making AIW the premier show of its type in the United States.  The book “Carving Biker Dudes” is another way that Don is spreading the advancement of woodcarving and improving the skills of interested carvers who want to learn this addictive pass time of Carving Biker Dudes.
